Message From President (CISA)

Pattern Logo

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Inaugural Conference of the Cayman Islands Society of Anaesthesiologists (CISA). CISA’s goal is to foster excellence and collaboration within the field of anaesthesiology, with a dedication to elevating the standards of anaesthesiology practice, education, and research across the region.

This year’s conference theme, “Balancing Act: Harmonizing patient care, physician well-being and anaesthesia excellence to achieve optimal outcomes,” highlights necessary counterbalancing within the practice of anaesthesia. CISAAC 25 offers the Cayman Islands as an ideal backdrop against which we share collegial ideas as we explore this equipoise

Rapid evolution within the healthcare environment, including technological changes and the need for excellence in care delivery, dictates a requirement for the appropriate clinical adaptations within our specialty, which, if not adequately balanced, could lead to professional disequilibria with negative consequences on patient outcomes and provider well-being.

CISAAC 25 serves as a launchpad for innovative ideas geared towards informing decisions relevant to the current and future practice of anaesthesia.

We are fortunate to practice anaesthesia in the Cayman Islands… and we are honored to welcome you to these Islands and to our inaugural anaesthesia conference, as we dialogue together in recognition of the need for balance as we strive to deliver excellent patient care

Realizing this conference would not have been attainable without the dedicated support of our members, our executive committee, and the collaboration of our esteemed colleagues within the medical community. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have contributed to this achievement and who continue to share our vision of excellence in anaesthesiology.
